The Fitchburg Police Department is eligible to apply for $25,503.00 for the upcoming fiscal year through the U.S. Department of Justice under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. This funding can be used for law enforcement programs including: technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment, supplies, local initiatives, data collection, strategic planning, contractual support, and criminal justice information systems
The application for the above grant is available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Fitchburg Police Department, office of the Chief of Police, 20 Elm Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
Citizens or neighborhood or community organizations who may wish to comment on the grant application may do so either by writing the Chief of Police, Fitchburg Police Department, 20 Elm Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420, by email at emartineau@fitchburgpolice.com, or by calling the Chief of Police at 978-345-9656.
