 Records Manager



  1. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all data processing equipment including, but not limited to, internal housekeeping of file systems.
  2. Work with management to determine informational needs; uses of Data Systems; and in what form entry and retrieved data are to be presented.
  3. Analyze statistical information and assist management in data interpretation.
  4. Install and implement, when applicable, software updates, new releases, patches, and operating systems on all data systems.
  5. Coordinate with staff services to determine and implement any training related to data systems and their use.
  6. Interface with software and hardware manufacturers to determine applications, problem solving, and enhancements.
  7. Utilize excellent communication skills and leadership in all areas of duties and responsibilities at all times.
  8. Be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the Report Review Officer and provide coverage in said position during any absence.
  9. The reliance on retrievable data by this organization is recognized. This necessity assumes a data system that is functioning. Therefore, the Data Systems Manager, or in his absence, the Report Review Officer, must be able to be contacted at any time deemed necessary.
  10. Also perform other such duties as the Chief Of Police, or his designee, may require.
